FINE ART PRINTING

GICLÉE, INKJET PRINTING TECHNIQUE:

Your print will be produced using giclée printing, the preferred option for fine artists due to its superb colour accuracy, detail reproduction fidelity, high-quality finish and archival longevity.

In this method that uses high-resolution digital files to reproduce original colours and details, the picture is originated by the nozzles of an inkjet printer that spray thin drops of pigmented inks (UV-resistant) on coated paper, capturing and preserving the essence of original artworks.

HAHNEMÜHLE, MUSEUM QUALITY PAPER:

Hahnemühle German Etching is the paper I have chosen for your prints due to its outstanding print results and its handmade crafted feel (emulating the look and feel of traditional etching papers), which make this heavyweight fine art paper one of the most popular among artists and illustrators who demand top quality archival coated papers for printing their artworks.

Key features of Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm paper:

  • Excellent printing results. Characterised by its velvety soft feel, its clearly defined felt surface and its premium matt inkjet coating, this 100% alpha-cellulose paper guarantees an exceptional print result with an impressive depth effect and three-dimensional appearance.
  • Colour and detail fidelity. With its slightly warm base tone and highly mottled texture that enables it to hold more ink and capture the light effectively, this paper enhances the printing accuracy by delivering bright colours and deep blacks that feel high in contrast.
  • Maximum durability. German Etching is a museum quality acid-free archival paper that meets the highest class for ageing resistance certified as per DIN 6738. Offering the top life expectancy, prints can last for more than 100 years with the use of UV-resistant pigment ink.

FINE ART FRAMING

QUADRUM BY NIELSEN, ELEGANT FRAMES:

If you opt for a framed print, the brand of high-class durable picture frame I have selected is Quadrum by Nielsen, known for its excellent craftmanship and its modern and elegant design.

I offer two colour options for the artworks frames, oak and white.

Main features of Nielsen Quadrum frames are:

  • FSC® certified. Quadrum frames are made in Germany from FSC® certified wood. This means wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the Forest Stewardship Council criteria. Oak moulds are solid wood from FSC® certified sources with an oak veneer.
  • Protective window. The majority of the frames are equipped with an edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approximately 45%. Extra large sizes, i.e. A1 and 70x100 cm, come with a very high quality 3mm clear acrylic to prevent damage during the order shipment.
  • Moulding and hardware. For all of the frame sizes, the dimensions of the mould are the same: 25mm depth, 16mm width. The frames come also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy MDF back panel. The type of hanging fixture on the rear panel is nail hanging.
